GM, I’m Anonyra

When I joined Twitter in July 2021 to learn more about crypto, I did not imagine getting a single follower. And had never heard of Twitter spaces. So I didn’t think my name would ever have to be pronounced.

About me

Come to think of it, I had never heard of the term Anon. I just needed to choose an anonymous username. So no, my parents are not looking down from heaven in contempt when you butcher my name. But to help you out; ann-no-near-ra is perfectly fine. As is RedRabbitCult’s & IIIso Ghostlord’s pronounciation: a-non-ne-ra.

Now we got that out of the way, relatively quick after I learned more about crypto and traded some, I saw the term NFT pass by on the TL. Completely ignored it at first as I just got started on crypto and some of the people I was following were not too enthousiastic about it. They simply couldn’t understand why you would invest in JPGs.

Obviously, curiousity won. First NFT on Solana I got in October 2021, which then also became my first post on Twitter. Long story short, December 31st I got my first piece of 1/1 art via auction.

This was still on Holaplex. Although I am still involved in a few Generative/Pfp projects my main focus has been the world of 1/1 art ever since.

So yes, I am here for the art. I collect what I love. But claiming that I don’t care if any of these pieces turns out to be a good investment, would be a lie.

I am a boomer. And a proud one. As I semi-doxxed to artist Bibi for a personal portrait back in January 2022: “IRL I am Jurassic, but in this space I am a toddler.” So much to learn and play. And wow, here we are. More than a year later in a fast moving and still volatile space. Launching my own website on Art in Web 3.0. So much to learn. Still here to play.

About BRIDG3

When the first ideas on my own website as a collector arised, I had to think of a domain to register. BRIDG3 was born. As a concept; a website; a gallery; a connection. And yes, growing into a brand.

But why?

My biggest motive is sharing my journey through the world of Art on the blockchain. Yes, there is social media. But a website is far less limited. Though the main output will of course be visual, I like to add a few words. On pages like these, but also in a blog. Writing up will aid my learning process. And hopefully that of others. Bridging some interest to Web 3.0.

I love to say bridging from the traditional art world to the space I am exploring. But that might be slightly pretentious, as I never emersed myself in the traditional art world. But every ounce of interest in ‘NFT-art’ I can create with this website is a win for me. With a single collector or artist onboarded, I will have reached my goal.
